Our Applied Drug Development students develop the practical and professional skills utilized across the lifecycle of drug development, manufacturing, and ongoing safety management. This program prepares its students to compete for highly desirable drug development jobs in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and regulatory industries.

Le is currently working in the discovery formulation group supporting pre-clinical studies. She is looking forward to learning in depth knowledge in the drug development field.

Sakshi Balgi

Sakshi’s passion for pharmaceutical sciences stems from a lifelong curiosity about medicine and a deep desire to make a difference in people’s lives. She is particularly interested in researching treatments for conditions like Vitiligo, Acne, and Keloids, which impact many individuals and often lack effective solutions. Studying biomedical science has strengthened her analytical skills and deepened her understanding of drug mechanisms. Sakshi is eager to contribute to advancements in biopharmaceutical research, working towards innovative treatments that improve healthcare and pursue research that transforms healthcare for the better.

Sebastian Karns-Bingham

Sebastian’s professional interests are to gain an understanding in the field of drug development in order to ready himself for a career in the field. His goals are not only to do well in his classes, but to also help make a difference outside the classroom.

Amanda is a Supervisor of Regulatory Affairs at Medline Industries. She is excited to figure that out more in the program and is happy to start in regulatory affairs and progress from there.

Layne C Talbott

Layne is an Associate Chemist at Celanese Corporation. He is interested in drug discovery, specifically organic synthesis of investigational new drugs. He hopes to learn more about the drug discovery process as well as regulatory information regarding new drugs.

Sophia Wrobleski

Sophia is a Lab Chemist at Tradebe. She would like to pursue a career as a pharmaceutical scientist and is open to different intersections.

Sara Zandi

Credentials: PharmD

Sara holds a degree in pharmacy and has gained several years of hands-on experience working in the pharmaceutical industry. Her interest in pharmaceutical sciences has grown beyond conventional drug formulations, leading her to explore the manufacturing of biological products. Recognising the rapid advancements in biotechnology and its potential to revolutionise healthcare, she is eager to deepen her understanding of this field. Sara has chosen to pursue this program, which offers comprehensive training in the latest methodologies, regulatory frameworks, and scientific advancements. Her ultimate goal is to be actively involved in formulating and producing groundbreaking therapies that address unmet medical needs.
